Vishope Foundation is a community-based organization established in 2022, its name reflecting its mission “Vision Hope” to create opportunities for societal transformation. Founded and led by a woman, this registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in Uganda is dedicated to uplifting women, young girls, orphans, HIV/AIDS-affected children, and young mothers. The foundation achieves its goals through initiatives in education, health education, economic empowerment at the micro-community level, environmental conservation and spiritual development, all aimed at fostering sustainable progress in Uganda.

Since its inception, Vishope Foundation has been a leading advocate for children’s rights and well-being. It strives to ensure that every child—particularly the most vulnerable—as well as young mothers and those living with HIV, has access to quality education, healthcare, protection, spiritual enrichment, and a safe environment in which to thrive.

Through innovative programs, strategic partnerships, and evidence-based advocacy, Vishope Foundation drive lasting change in communities in northern Uganda. Our focus spans education, child protection, health education, child rights governance and humanitarian response, reaching millions of children and families with the Gospel of Jesus Christ Together, we are building a brighter future where every one survives, learns, and is protected.

The church building becomes a key gathering place for the communities and is one of the most effective means of reaching and transforming lives. Between life skills classes, Women Empowerment meetings, youth sports & activities, and schooling for all ages as a Village Learning Center, the church building becomes an anchor point in the community for both the young and the old. One church planted in an unreached community can affect countless generations.

Vishope Foundation provides access to Health care education, beddings, sanitary towels to young girls, food, books, pens and clothing ;often targeting vulnerable populations like orphans, women, and HIV infected ones in rural communities .Our aim is to provide access to clean water, building shelters for vulnerable families; with a strong emphasis on community engagement and capacity building .

We provide training in modern techniques, facilitating access to land ownership and credit, promoting gender sensitive-climate smart- practices, establishing women led cooperatives and advocating for policy that support female farmers, ultimately aiming to increase their financial support; examples include projects that focus on large-scale commercial farming of staple crops, poultry, piggery and planting of trees

ABOUT CHURCH PLANTING/BUILDING FAITH

Vishope Foundation planting initiatives are an integral part of our Community Development program, because we want to rebuild each community’s physical and spiritual needs around a healthy church. We stress the importance of organization and the installation of good leadership before dreaming of construction, but with these critical elements in place, construction of a church building begins. Vishope Supporters has helped build two churches out of ten in northern Uganda: Aminomir and Amwa Chapel. These churches don’t belong to Vishope Foundation but to the community of believers and their leadership from that local church.

Compassion, Collaboration and Acceptance for Everyone.
